Russians attack energy sector: power outages will increase throughout the day

On the morning of Friday, December 13, Russian troops attacked Ukrainian energy facilities.

This was announced on Facebook by the Minister of Energy Herman Halushchenko and Ukrenergo.

«The enemy continues its terror. Once again, the energy sector throughout Ukraine is under massive attack. Energy workers are taking all necessary measures to minimize the negative consequences for the energy system. As soon as the security situation allows, the damage caused will be clarified,» the message says.

Ukrenergo also reported that there will be more power outages due to the missile attack on energy facilities.

Shelling of Ukraine on November 28

On Thursday morning, November 28, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with missiles and strike drones. Explosions were heard in various cities.

According to rescuers, significant damage was recorded in 14 regions due to shelling. More than 320 rescuers of the State Emergency Service are working to eliminate the consequences, supported by more than 80 pieces of equipment.

Thus, as a result of a hostile missile attack on the Odesa region, three people were injured, including a 16-year-old boy.

And in the Ivano-Frankivsk region, about 300 thousand consumers were left without electricity. Emergency shutdown schedules and power restrictions were introduced in the region.

Also, 515,000 subscribers were left without electricity due to shelling in the Lviv region. Local authorities warned of tight electricity supply schedules.
