On the evening of 29 March, Russian troops attacked a military hospital in the city of Kharkiv. The hospital building and nearby residential buildings were damaged by Shahed drone.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

«Having once again cynically violated the norms of international humanitarian law, Russian terrorists struck a military hospital in the city of Kharkiv. The hospital building and nearby residential buildings were damaged as a result of a Shahed UAV attack,» the statement said.

It is also noted that, according to preliminary data, the attack resulted in injuries among the servicemen who were undergoing treatment.

«The fact of deliberate, targeted shelling of a Ukrainian medical facility by the Russian army has added to the long list of despicable and cynical crimes committed by the Russians since the beginning of their unprovoked invasion of Ukraine. War crimes have no statute of limitations. The relevant evidence will be submitted to the international criminal justice authorities», the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine added.

As a reminder, Russian troops launched a drone strike on Kharkiv. Initially, the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, reported that one person was killed and another was injured in the attack. However, later it was reported that two people were killed and 25 injured.

According to rescuers, one of the shells hit a private house, which was completely destroyed. A fire started there. Rescuers unblocked the injured man and the body of the deceased woman from the rubble. The fire is being extinguished and the rubble is being cleared.
