During the last exchange of bodies, Russia handed over the remains of its servicemen to Ukraine along with the bodies of Ukrainian soldiers. This was probably done on purpose.

This was reported by the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Ihor Klymenko.

«During the last repatriations, we also received the bodies of Russian soldiers mixed with the bodies of Ukrainians. Unfortunately, this is a fact. This could have been done deliberately by the Russians to increase the number of bodies handed over and to overload our experts with work, adding to this cynical information pressure. Or it could be their usual negligent attitude towards their own people. In any case, we also identify these bodies», said Ihor Klymenko.

It is noted that Russia, in particular, deliberately complicates the process of identifying bodies for Ukraine. The dead are returned in an extremely mutilated state, with parts of the bodies in different bags. There are also cases when the remains of one person are returned even during different stages of repatriation.

«Our experts work to the limit. Each examination is carried out thoroughly and more than once. The specialists are trained, the laboratories are equipped, and the processes are well established. The biggest challenge is time», the minister added.

As a reminder, today Ukraine has completed the last stage of repatriation of the bodies of the victims in accordance with the agreements reached in Istanbul.

Earlier it was reported that on Sunday, 15 June, the bodies of the fallen Ukrainian soldiers were returned. Another 1,200 bodies were repatriated to Ukraine.
