In Mykolaiv, 47 people sought hospital treatment for injuries caused by icy conditions over a two-day period.

This was reported by Oleksandr Demianov, chief physician of the Mykolaiv Emergency Medical Care Hospital, in a comment to NikVesti.

«As of this morning, there were 47 people, seven of whom were hospitalised, while the rest received outpatient care. The hospitalised patients require surgery, while the others can be treated at home. These are the figures for this morning, but the number of cases is now higher,» said Oleksandr Demianov.

Yesterday, 13 people were admitted to hospital with injuries caused by icy conditions.

Also yesterday, employees of the municipal enterprise Mykolaiv Parks worked in an enhanced mode in the morning due to icy conditions. They used 22,700 kilograms of anti-icing mixture to treat sidewalks and pedestrian areas.

It should be noted that on 28 January, difficult weather conditions are expected to continue in the Mykolaiv region. Forecasters predict light rain with wet snow at night and ice and heavy fog during the day. At the same time, the air temperature will rise significantly.
