Over three months, residents of Mykolaiv made nearly 200 erroneous payments for heating

In Mykolaiv, 191 erroneous payments for heating were recorded in three months. Illustrative photo: NikVestiOver three months, 191 incorrect payments for heat supply were recorded in Mykolaiv. The total amount of funds that consumers transferred incorrectly exceeded 90,000 hryvnias.
This was reported by Mykola Lohvinov, director of the municipal enterprise Mykolaivoblteploenergo, in a comment to NikVesti.
According to him, among the erroneous payments were payments from people who are not consumers of the regional heating company, in particular:

In November, 15 payments were received in the amount of 13,244 hryvnias;

In December, 15 payments totalling 6,119 hryvnias;

In January, 27 payments totalling 19,985 hryvnias.

A total of 57 payments amounting to 39,349 hryvnias.
Payments from current consumers (incorrect personal account number or other inaccuracies):

November — 19 payments totalling 16,881 hryvnias;

December — 40 payments totalling 18,511 hryvnias;

January — 75 payments totalling 15,468 hryvnias.

Total — 134 payments amounting to 50,861 hryvnias.
In total — 191 payments for over 90,000 hryvnias.
What should you do if you have paid to the wrong account?
If you have entered the wrong personal account number, you need to contact the customer service department of the regional heating company and write a statement requesting that the funds be credited to the correct account (provided that the payer's surname is correct).
You will need to bring the following with you:

the original receipt,

a copy of the receipt,
-
your ID.
If the recipient of the funds was entered incorrectly, you need to contact the bank through which the payment was made.
We would like to remind you that the first deputy mayor of Mykolaiv, Vitalii Lukov, stated that residents who receive bills for heating despite its absence must independently draw up reports together with the management company in order to receive a recalculation.
Where to go for a recalculation for missing heat?
If your house is on the balance sheet of the power company and the bill includes an amount for heating that was not actually provided:

Draw up a report on the lack of heating together with the management company.

Submit the report to the customer service department of the regional energy company.

We would like to remind you that in Mykolaiv, during power outages, heating problems were recorded in about 25 of the 1,324 buildings on the balance sheet of the regional heating company.
As of 1 February 2026, consumers' debt to OKP Mykolaivoblteploenergo for heat supply services amounted to 374.6 million hryvnias.
