The aftermath of the attacks in the Kherson region. Photo: National PoliceOver the past 24 hours, Russian troops have shelled 40 settlements in the Kherson region. Twenty-two people were injured as a result of the attacks.
This was reported on the morning of 8 May by the head of the Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin.
According to him, the Russians targeted critical and social infrastructure, as well as residential areas. Artillery, drones and aircraft were used in the attacks.
As a result of the shelling, two high-rise buildings and 13 private houses, mobile phone masts, a farm building, a pharmacy, a warehouse and cars were damaged.
Separately, the head of the Kherson City Military Administration, Yaroslav Shanko, reported that over the past 24 hours, Russian troops had attacked Kherson and a number of settlements in the region using drones and artillery. According to him, 16 people were injured in the Kherson region.
It should be noted that during April this year, 238 people were injured in Kherson as a result of Russian attacks, and a further 20 civilians were killed.
