Kim about why the mayor was not at work during the attack on Voznesensk: «There is a business sector. A question to Velychko»

The head of Mykolayiv RMA Vitalii Kim said that Mayor Yevhen Velychko, injured as a result of a rocket attack on Voznesensk, is in a normal condition. However, he does not know why the mayor was on the territory of a private enterprise at the time of the attack.

Vitaly Kim told about this in a comment to the correspondent of NikVesti.

The head of the region said that the mayor was injured by the debris and was hospitalized, but after all the medical procedures he was discharged on the same day.

«Everything is fine with him. He has cuts and stab wounds, he called back via video, to be honest, right from the table in the hospital. He was resuscitated, his wounds treated and released the same day. He was wounded in the head and hand, but in principle everything is fine with him,» said Vitalii Kim.

As is known, the blow came at the private enterprise «Pamir Bud», the main activity of which is the production of concrete products for construction. Why was the mayor there during the working day, the head of the RMA suggested that he might have «domestic issues».

«This is the same enterprise that was engaged in construction materials, that is, this is a question for Velychko. In fact, I was in Voznesensk that day during the strike. Yes, this is really a private sector of business, where tiles and wood are made. Maybe he had some household issues,» added the head of the region.

Yevhen Velychko himself addressed the townspeople in a video message posted on his Facebook page yesterday evening. He said that the rocket hit the warehouse of the enterprise, where a man died in one of the shops.

«As a result of a direct hit to the warehouse of the enterprise, a fire broke out, workers were injured in the warehouse. Unfortunately, one of them, Yevhen Ruban, died. He worked in a welding shop. Evgeny started working at the company recently, he was a responsible employee. Sincere condolences to the family of the deceased,» Yevhen Velychko said.

Rocket attack on Voznesensk on July 10

Around 3:30 p.m. in the city of Voznesensk, the Russian army launched a rocket attack on a civilian object. As a result of the Russian attack, a man was killed, seven people were injured.

Among them, in particular, was the mayor of Voznesensk, Yevhen Velychko.

Later, the emergency services of the Mykolaiv region showed the consequences of the impact and the process of extinguishing the fire.

On July 11, it became known that the number of victims increased to 8. Four of them are in the hospital.

At the time of the explosion, an air alert was announced throughout the Mykolayiv region. The press service of the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces also warned that a high-speed target heading for Voznesensk was recorded in the region.
