On April 6, 2022, a Russian rocket destroyed the house of Nataliia, a resident of Lupareve, which she and her husband had bought only a few months before.
This is stated in the report of NikVesti «How to live in the village, when the occupiers are across the river».
For several years, the family lived in the house as tenants, but in December 2021 the house was bought from the former owners. However, Nataliia did not have time to issue the documents for the right of ownership.
The Russians targeted the house, from which only a few walls remained. Nataliia and her family lived in Mykolaiv at that time.
«When we arrived, I entered the gate, sat under the fence and cried because I didn't know where to start. We only bought it in December 2021, we haven't even issued the documents yet, we're just nobody here. «People told us that this house cannot be restored, it's easier to demolish it and build another one on this place,» the woman said.
The summer kitchen survived next to the house, where the owners temporarily moved to start rebuilding the house. The roof of the kitchen was also a disaster because it was covered with debris. Due to bad weather, it continued to collapse, until at night the ceiling collapsed on the owners' bed.
Natalya said that she works as a technician at the Lupareve school and has a small salary. Her husband is temporarily out of work because there is no work in the village. The family did not understand how much it would cost to rebuild the house.
«People, acquaintances helped us buy stone, gave us slate so that we could cover at least one house. People helped something, I borrowed something, we built a veranda, installed windows. We were also helped by Dobrobat. I couldn't believe it, because many people are now promising to help. But they completely replaced my roof. The Dutch organization «ZOA» was coming. They estimated the cost and gave us the funds. We bought stone and cement,» the woman said.
