He wrote about this in his TruthSocial social network.
Trump called the conversation with the president of Ukraine «very good» and said that, becoming the president of the United States, he will bring peace to the world and end the war.
«I appreciate that President Zelenskyy contacted me because I, as the next president of the United States, will bring peace to the world and end the war that has taken so many lives and destroyed the destinies of so many innocent families. Both sides will be able to meet and agree on an agreement that will end hostilities and pave the way to prosperity,» Trump wrote.
We will remind you that during a recent telephone conversation, Zelenskyy and Trump agreed to discuss during a personal meeting what steps can make the peace fair and truly lasting.
It will be recalled that at the beginning of July, Trump's advisers presented him with their plan to end the war in Ukraine. He predicts that Trump may stop the supply of military aid to Ukraine if it refuses peace talks, in return Moscow will be warned that any refusal to negotiate will lead to increased support for Kyiv.
Trump's staff said that the priority of his potential second term would be to end the war between Russia and Ukraine as soon as possible.
