Children from Ochakiv will be taken on a holiday to Austria this year

Children from the Ochakiv community in Mykolaiv Oblast are set to travel to the Austrian town of Hohenems. The local budget will spend almost 629,000 hryvnias on the return trip.
The relevant tender has been published on the Prozorro system, NikVesti reports.
The service is being commissioned by the Department of Education and Humanitarian Affairs of the Ochakiv City Council.
The city has commissioned bus transport for the trip at a cost of 628,975 hryvnias. The journey will be operated by the municipal enterprise «Ochakiv-Service».
According to the tender documentation, the children will be transported by a Neoplan Cityliner bus. Three drivers have been allocated for the long-distance international journey.
The procurement documents state that the trip is being organised for children from the Ochakiv community. The final destination of the route will be the town of Hohenems in western Austria, near the borders with Switzerland and Liechtenstein.
The transport contract will remain in force until the end of 2026.

As a reminder, children from Mykolaiv who require special social care and support will be sent on a holiday and health retreat. The children will travel to camps in the west of the country for 14 days.
Meanwhile, last year, over 16 million hryvnias from the Mykolaiv budget were spent on organising holidays for children from disadvantaged groups.
It was also reported that 10 children from Mykolaiv will travel to France for a summer holiday. The children will receive health treatment as part of a cooperation project between the municipalities of Mykolaiv and Montpellier.
