The Mykolaiv Central Heating and Power Plant has announced a procurement process to repair pipelines damaged during the Russian attack in the summer of 2026. The estimated cost of the work is nearly 4 million hryvnias.
This was reported by NikVesti, citing data from the Prozorro system.
As explained by the company, Russian drones damaged the CHP’s production buildings, structures and internal pipelines. In particular, the shelling caused through-holes and ruptures in the pipelines, whilst expansion joints — components that protect pipes from deformation due to temperature changes — were displaced on the supports.
The technical specifications call for the dismantling of the damaged sections and the laying of new pipes of various diameters. The contractor must also install steel connecting elements, restore the shut-off valves and check the quality of the welded joints.
In total, the documentation provides for the dismantling and subsequent laying of several sections of overhead pipelines with a total length of over 390 metres.
The company explained that the pipelines must be repaired before the 2026–2027 heating season to ensure the stable operation of the equipment and the supply of heat to residential buildings, hospitals, educational institutions and businesses.
At the same time, the CHPP plant noted that its own repair teams would be unable to carry out this work on time due to the effects of shelling. The company has therefore decided to engage a contractor.
The estimated cost of the contract is 3,966,000 hryvnias. Under the terms of the contract, the work must be completed by 31 December 2026.
As a reminder, the Mykolaiv Thermal Power Station has announced a tender for the restoration of the surface covering following a major overhaul of the heating networks. The estimated cost of the works is 8.3 million hryvnias.
