The Prosecutor General of Ukraine resigned

Prosecutor General of Ukraine Andrii Kostin announced his resignation due to scandals about prosecutors receiving disability.

This was reported by the Prosecutor General's Office.

Andrii Kostin noted that today the President of Ukraine held a meeting of the National Security Council regarding the obviously immoral situation with fake disabilities of officials of state bodies, and now at all levels in the state checks are ongoing and criminal proceedings are being investigated.

He considers the position of the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, to be absolutely correct, that not only should all illegal decisions regarding the granting of disabilities, corresponding pension and other payments be canceled. Also, there should be not only clear legislative and organizational changes, but also personal responsibility, including political.

«I am grateful to the President of Ukraine and the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for their trust. But in this situation, I consider it correct to announce the dismissal from the position of the Prosecutor General,» Andrii Kostin added.

We will remind you that in Khmelnytskyi region, 49 prosecutors led by regional prosecutor Oleksii Oliinyk registered the disability of the head of the medical and social expert commission and regional council deputy from the «Servant of the People» party, Tetiana Krupa.
