Former Head of the Transcarpathian Customs becomes Head of the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority

Oleksii Kuleba, Vice Prime Minister for Reconstruction of Ukraine, has introduced the new head of the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority (USPA), Oleksandr Semyrha.

This was reported by the Ministry of Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine.

It is noted that the main tasks for the new head are to ensure the stability and efficiency of the ports, develop infrastructure and implement modern management approaches.

«Transparency and accountability are not just requirements, but key principles that ensure public trust and stability in the industry. We expect the new management to focus on openness, implementation of modern management standards and strengthening of the team to make the work of the Administration clear to everyone», said Oleksii Kuleba.

Oleksandr Semyrha was born on 22 September 1984 in Kolomyia, Ivano-Frankivsk region. He graduated from the Lviv Commercial Academy with a degree in International Economic Relations. He worked at various enterprises belonging to the Ministry of Transport of Ukraine, as well as at the Ministry of Economy from 2009 to 2012. Before returning to public service in 2021, he was engaged in business.

Oleksandr Semyrha served as the Head of the Transcarpathian Customs from December 2022 to December 2023. Earlier, in 2021-2022, he headed Chernihiv Customs. In December 2023, the Cabinet of Ministers appointed him First Deputy Head of the State Customs Service.
