Zelenskyy postpones visit to Saudi Arabia due to talks between Russia and the US

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, photo: Getty ImagesPresident of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has announced the postponement of his visit to Saudi Arabia due to the talks between Russia and the United States in Riyadh.
He said this during a press conference after meeting with Turkish President Erdogan.
«We were not invited to this Russian-American meeting in Saudi Arabia. It was a surprise for us, as it was for many. We got this information from the media», the president said.
According to him, the only thing to worry about is that Ukraine's partners are not subjected to unnecessary thoughts.
«I don't know who will stay there (in Saudi Arabia, — note), who will leave, I don't care. I don't care if our partners think something unnecessary about us. I don't want any coincidences, and that's why I won't go to Saudi Arabia», the president said.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy added that he has good relations with Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud. The leaders had a telephone conversation during which they agreed to postpone the meeting to 10 March.
«We have just got in touch and agreed that I will be on an official visit on 10 March. And the United States — we are expecting them in Kyiv», he concluded.
Earlier, Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that he was planning an official visit to Saudi Arabia on the issue of prisoner exchange.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy also commented on the talks between the US and Russia in Riyadh, which took place without Ukraine's participation. He stressed that Kyiv would not accept any Russian ultimatums.
