After a brief conversation with the press, the American president thanked the journalists and said goodbye.

As previously reported by «Suspilne», Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed that he would visit Washington on 17 October at the invitation of Donald Trump.

Earlier, US President Donald Trump said that the decision to transfer Tomahawk missiles «to Ukraine had been made to some extent», but stressed that he did not want to escalate with Russia.

He also noted that he is ready to provide Tomahawk cruise missiles to Ukraine if the war with Russia is not resolved. According to him, such a statement is an element of pressure on the Kremlin, and he plans to discuss this issue personally with Russian leader Vladimir Putin.

At the same time, Russian President Vladimir Putin stressed that Ukraine's use of Tomahawk missiles «would damage relations between Moscow and Washington». Later, the Kremlin stated that it was waiting for concrete decisions from the United States on the possible supply of cruise missiles to Ukraine.
