«Mykolaiv City Council welcomes the installation of solar power plants and the development of renewable energy. Mykolaiv and the region have great potential for this. The city will be able to save about 1.5 million hryvnias annually and use these funds to further develop such projects. In addition, the installed power plants will help reduce CO₂ emissions by almost 98 tonnes per year. Even in difficult times of war, Mykolaiv cares about the environment, because it is the future of our citizens. I am grateful to our partners from «EcoClub» for supporting Mykolaiv in the development of renewable energy,» said Oleksandr Sienkevych.

At the same time, at the end of August 2025, the Mykolaiv City Council approved an updated structure of the executive bodies of the City Hall, which, in particular, provides for the liquidation of the Department of Energy, Energy Saving and Implementation of Innovative Technologies.
