Thierry Breton added that the new strategy sets a clear priority for the further development of cooperation.

«That's why we will open the Office of Defense Innovation in Kyiv — to create a bridge between innovative startups in the EU and Ukrainian companies and the Armed Forces, so that European startups can help Ukrainian soldiers on the battlefield. And I am glad that practical work on the implementation of this task has already begun,» added the European Commissioner.

In turn, the Minister of Strategic Industries of Ukraine, Oleksandr Kamyshyn, added before the start of the forum that work is currently underway to shape the tasks and structure of the Office.
