Tent with psychologists: an interactive event «Journey to mental health» took place in Mykolaiv

In Mykolaiv, an interactive event «Journey to mental health» was held in Kashtanovyy Square, where anyone who wanted to could get a free consultation with a psychologist.

The event was held as part of Olena Zelenska's program «How are you?» to the World Day of Mental Health, reports the correspondent of «NikVesti».

The opening was attended by the deputy head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, Yuriy Granaturov, the head of the health care department of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration Maksym Beznosenko, the regional coordinator of the All-Ukrainian mental health program «How are you?» Ruslana Omelianchuk.

— We will have psychologists working here who will provide assistance. All those willing can come, fill out the questionnaires of the introductory questionnaire, talk with a psychologist, and then fill out the questionnaire of the final questionnaire, — said the coordinator of the All-Ukrainian mental health program in the Mykolaiv region, Ruslana Omelyanchuk.

As the coordinator explained, a study will be conducted in this way, the purpose of which is to see and understand how effective communication with a psychologist is in today's conditions.

— At today's event, we will present psychological help as something really effective and extremely necessary, in the conditions in which we are now. That is, people can come, register on the website, complete a short questionnaire. In the future, during a short conversation, I will be able to explain to them the importance of communication with a specialist. In addition, a person can even make an appointment for a consultation and then it will be a stable full-time work with a person, — said Victoria Filipenko, a crisis psychologist of the Red Cross emergency rescue service.

— Today is World Mental Health Day. Our city has a Mental Health Coordination Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, which is patronized by First Lady Olena Zelenska. In the Mykolaiv region, I, as the deputy head of the military administration, was appointed by Vitaly Kim to implement this program. Today, we have a lot of activity in the city, we hold campaigns so that people know where to turn, we distribute leaflets, etc., — said the deputy head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration Yurii Hranaturov.
