The reconstruction of the housing destroyed by the Russians can now be watched online in 3D

The global initiative for the reconstruction of Ukraine UNITED24 and IT company LUN have launched a joint online project that allows you to observe the reconstruction of housing destroyed by the Russians in 3D format.

This was done so that people who make donations for the reconstruction of Ukraine could visually observe how specific projects are being implemented, writes European Truth with reference to a source in UNITED24.

You can watch the reconstruction by following the link.

«It is very important for us to give the opportunity to donors from everywhere - from Canada to Australia, from Lithuania to France - to follow the construction. Every person who donated at least one dollar, even a million, to Ukraine will be able to feel their involvement in our history,» explained the coordinator of the UNITED24 platform Yaroslava Gres.

It is noted that thanks to the LUN IT company, it was possible to launch construction monitoring, which allows you to review the progress in the restoration of buildings.

The project's own photojournalists regularly go to shoot objects.

«In their work, they use an application with patented technology. Each house is photographed from the same angle for better monitoring dynamics. 3D models of buildings in their current state are created on the basis of drone images,» UNITED24 reports.

On the project page, you can also learn more about the building itself, read the stories of the residents, see the place where it is located on an interactive map, and thanks to the 3D model, you can better understand the extent of the destruction and the need for support.

Currently, 18 apartment buildings in the Kyiv region are being restored with the funds collected by the UNITED24 platform.

UNITED24 should collect 719 million hryvnias for these houses. The collection for 5 houses is ongoing. 28 million 369 thousand 770 hryvnias are missing from the full amount.

In general, thanks to the platform's donors, 638 million 935 thousand 400 hryvnias have been transferred from all over the world for reconstruction.

More than 50 million have already been collected on the account of the Ministry of Infrastructure.

Dozens of international companies, platform ambassadors, and private donors joined the UNITED24 collection. So, the funds for the restoration of two houses in Irpen were transferred by the Balenciaga fashion house. Three more houses will get new life thanks to personal meetings of UNITED24 ambassadors: boxer Oleksandr Usyk, director Michel Azanavichus and tennis player Elina Svitolina.

«We did not think for a minute about UNITED24's offer to help. Each of us in this war wants to be involved in the path to victory, it is impossible to sit idly by. Emotionally, it was a very difficult experience,» says Denys Sudilkovskyi, marketing director of LUN.

We will remind that as of September 14, the Department of Housing and Communal Services in Mykolaiv received 1,450 appeals from citizens regarding compensation for damages caused by shelling of the Russian army.

As you know, Mykolaiv Oblast is among the five leading oblasts where the largest number of applications under the «eRecovery» program were submitted - 1,555. However, the oblast has the lowest rate of consideration of these applications. Therefore, the Ministry of Reconstruction called on the Mykolaiv commissions to speed up their processing: «This depends on the ability of the owners to receive assistance in the shortest possible time for the restoration of housing before the autumn and winter cold."

In July of this year , restoration of the first damaged high-rise building was started in Mykolaiv at the expense of the city budget. We are talking about a house on Krylov, which was hit by a Russian missile in the summer of 2022.

Currently , 30 commissions for the restoration of housing damaged during the full-scale invasion are working in the Mykolaiv region under the program «eVidnovenny».
