Local residents began to fence unmined roads in Mykolaiv Oblast with stones painted in red and white to warn drivers and pedestrians about the danger in these areas.
People's Deputy of Ukraine Ihor Kopytin said this on his Facebook page.
He showed photos of a section of the road between the villages of the Shevchenkove community, where local residents painted the stones white and red, thus creating visible boundaries and warnings of danger.
The People's Deputy noted that unmined areas, which include mined roadsides and positions abandoned by the occupiers, pose a real threat to citizens. However, there is a road between them that is used by civilian vehicles every day, and this new marking method helps to save lives and safety on the road.
— A small section of the road between the villages of the Shevchenkove community. Stones painted with white and red paint as a warning of danger. This is how unmined areas are marked to protect people from certain death. On the one hand, there are mined roadsides and fields, and on the other, positions abandoned by the occupiers, which also carry danger. And between them is a road on which civilian cars drive every day. This is our reality. But the most important thing is that there is no ru**ians here anymore, — he wrote.
