«Slums were better when I was a child,» the head of the Black Sea community criticized modular houses for displaced people

The head of the Black Sea community, Andrii Dmytrenko, criticized the modular houses for displaced people, which are not equipped with a toilet, bathroom and kitchen.

As he said in a comment to NikVesti, such modular houses are designed for temporary stay of people only in the summer, but it is impossible to live there in the winter.

— I want to tell you honestly that it is still suitable for summer, but not for winter. Along with them, cotton wool was also handed over, but it will fall. We expected that these would be some kind of wooden ones, like the Finnish ones used to be. They would be more interesting. But we have, as they say, we have,» Andrii Dmytrenko said.

In total, the Black Sea community received 20 such modular houses. So far, a modular town has been created from 10 houses in the community. Residents of Ochakiv live there from time to time, looking for shelter during the Russian shelling of the city, added Andrii Dmytrenko.

He also said that the community needs more modern modular houses, which would be designed for living in them all year round.

— The very history of modular houses is quite interesting, but the implementation of these is pointless. This is a temporary «jump» camp. They came up with the idea of covering the houses in winter with some kind of mineral wool (the houses are insulated with mineral wool, boards and tarpaulins, note). It looks like how we used to build shacks when we were kids, and my shacks were better then. That is, this story in itself is only for the summer and temporarily. But if we develop this topic, then we have a territory with communications for such modular houses as were installed in Lviv and Buch. People can be accommodated in such houses, and the most important thing is that we have someone to accommodate there, said Andrii Dmytrenko.

It is worth noting that the residents of the village of Posad-Pokrovske in the Kherson region were also dissatisfied with the quality of such modular buildings.

«The tent was put up, but it is not needed, this tent... I took it, threw it in the garage, let it lie. And what is he holding? Now the frost will hit — everything!», one of the local residents said earlier.

We remind you that the first modern modular houses with a kitchen, bathroom and furniture were installed in the Mykolayiv region. Two families from the Shevchenkiv community received new housing.

At the same time, 35 more modular houses will be installed in the villages of the Pervomaisk community of the Mykolaiv region. Before that, 10 such houses were installed there.
