This year, the military received almost 200 certificates for housing in Mykolaiv

In Mykolaiv, certificates for the purchase of housing were presented to defenders. A total of 199 defenders have received funds for the purchase of their own housing since the beginning of the program year.

NikVesti writes about it.

Mykolayiv City Mayor Oleksandr Sienkevych expressed gratitude to the servicemen for their tireless work and dedication to the defense of Ukraine.

«Each of you is a worthy person who deserves to receive a reward from the state,» emphasized the head of the city.

As is known, Mykolaiv was the first in the country to introduce a targeted program for housing servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. More than 200 million hryvnias have already been allocated for this from the community budget.

«In 2022, a decision was made to allocate part of the funds from the military tax that went to the city budget for the purchase of modern equipment and drones to support military units. The other part was spent on the purchase of housing for military personnel who have been serving in defense of the country for a long time,» the mayor noted.

However, Oleksandr Sienkevych also noted that the city's housing allocation program for servicemen will not continue next year. He explained that this is due to financial constraints and lack of necessary resources.

«Today, our main task is to ensure the defense of Ukraine and victory, I think that in the future those people who did not get housing will be able to get it from the state in the future. This program will not continue next year, because there is nowhere to get them, and you are the last number of people who have the opportunity to get apartments. Thank you to each of you for your service,» he summed up.

We remind you that in January, Mykolaiv adopted a program to provide housing for servicemen of military units of the Mykolaiv Garrison for 2023-2025.

It was reported that servicemen of the Mykolaiv Garrison have the right to receive housing in Mykolaiv — those military units that are registered in the city and pay taxes.

It was also reported that the Mykolayiv region will become a pilot region that will introduce an expanded program of soft loans for housing for prisoners of war. In particular, it is planned to allocate funds from the regional budget to compensate 20% of the first installment for the purchase of an apartment for prisoners of war.
