On Friday, January 26, the office of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Denmark in Ukraine was opened in Mykolaiv. On this occasion, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the country, Lars Lekke Rasmussen, arrived in the city.

On this occasion, the Minister of Denmark together with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba, held a briefing, the correspondent of NikVesti reports.

«This is the first time in my memory when the minister of foreign affairs of a foreign country holds a joint press conference with a Ukrainian minister, while still being on his Danish territory. This opportunity is absolutely worth it, because the opening of the office of the Embassy of Denmark in Ukraine in the city of Mykolaiv is, without exaggeration, a historical event. This is not only a Danish footprint on the territory of Mykolaiv, it is also an example for other countries that want to support Ukraine,» Dmytro Kuleba said during the briefing.

He thanked his Minsk colleagues for their leadership and noted that Denmark is one of the leading countries that create favorable conditions for the development of joint projects with Ukrainian companies and investors.

«Today we discussed how we will together spread this successful experience of Denmark to other countries, how we will encourage them to have their business come to Ukraine and create jobs, enterprises here and help us develop our economy even in the face of a full-scale invasion,» said the Ukrainian minister.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Denmark, Lars Lekke Rasmussen, assured that the country's government will continue to be ready to help Ukraine, including Mykolaiv, in the fight against the Russian aggressor. During the visit to Mykolaiv, representatives of Denmark discussed priority needs with representatives of Mykolaiv Oblast. One of the top priorities today is security and stability in the region.

«I am honoured and proud that we have established this comprehensive, how should I put it, holistic framework for cooperation between Denmark and Ukraine, not only focusing on military support, which is of course the most obvious needed thing, but also people to people cooperation and concrete steps in order to unlock the business potential,» said Lars Lekke Rasmussen.

Before the briefing, the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and Denmark solemnly raised the flags of the two countries on the occasion of the opening of the office in Mykolaiv.

We will remind you that in the autumn, the office of the representative office of Denmark was opened in Mykolaiv, which undertook to restore the region affected by the aggression of the Russian Federation.

On November 29, Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in Mykolaiv, where he visited the Office of the Danish Embassy and assessed the country's work on the reconstruction of the region
