The Russian army continues to actively shell Avdiivka, in particular, the territory of the Coke Chemical Plant. The invaders storm the city and attack from the air both day and night.

«As of now, this is the new «home» of the Third Assault Brigade. Doesn't remind you of anything? But our units continue to face the enemy with dignity, lead the defense and inflict record losses on the enemy,» the press service adds.

In turn, the commander of the second mechanized battalion of the brigade with the call sign «Var» added that the Russian army uses phosphorous projectiles, which ignite tanks with fuel oil. Poisonous smog spreads over the entire territory of the plant. Cases of poisoning of brigade personnel are constantly increasing.

«Despite repulsing tank attacks, heavy battles with superior enemy forces, hundreds of KABs per day, hail packs, FPV, drops — the enemy did the expected thing. With phosphorous charges, he set fire to tanks with fuel oil that were stored at AСP (Avdiivка Coke and Chemical Plant). When burned, this poisonous substance has extremely serious consequences for the health and even the lives of our soldiers. The wind and pressure are changing, so this cloud dragged the entire area and around the ACP,» wrote «Var».

We will remind that a day earlier, on February 15, the 3rd separate assault brigade confirmed that it was urgently redeployed to strengthen Ukrainian troops in the Avdiivka area. The press service noted that the situation in the city is extremely critical.
