«The expansion of the video surveillance system is a critical step to increase the level of security in our community. CCTV cameras play a key role in crime prevention and detection, as well as vandalism prevention. They provide law enforcement agencies with valuable evidence, help quickly respond to incidents and identify offenders. In addition, the very presence of cameras often acts as a deterrent for potential criminals,» the city council is confident.

At the same time, the draft decision on approving changes to the target program of civil protection, where it is planned to allocate 400,000 hryvnias for the installation and adjustment of cameras, was presented to the deputies for consideration.

We will remind you that in December of last year, the UN Development Program provided equipment and techniques for the arrangement in the amount of 1 million 230 thousand hryvnias. Funds are planned for the implementation of the project of creating a composting station, installing video surveillance cameras in Voznesensk, equipping police stations and creating an adult education center.

Earlier it was reported that the Mykolaiv region was one of the ten regions that purchased «dangerous» video surveillance cameras. In two years, 881 cameras were purchased, of which 200 were cameras from Chinese companies.

We would also like to remind you that in Mykolaiv and the region , new cameras were installed to record violations of traffic rules. Since August 26, 43 complexes have been operational throughout Ukraine.
