About 60% of substations and power transmission lines were damaged as a result of hostilities in Mykolaiv region

In the Mykolaiv Oblast, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, about 60 percent of Mykolaivoblenergo substations and transmission lines have been damaged.
Acting General Director of JSC Mykolaivoblenergo Andrii Kazan announced this at the conference held on November 13-14 in Warsaw, writes JSC Ukrainian Distribution Networks.
According to him, damage to substations and power lines led to the application of emergency shutdown schedules.
«Due to hostilities in the Mykolaiv region, in general, about 60% of substations of various voltage classes were damaged, as well as 60% of power transmission lines of various voltage classes, which led to the application of emergency shutdown schedules and an increase in SAIDI indicators,» says Andrii Kazan.
He added that an important decision for the development of the company was the signing of the contract with the International Energy Cluster on the implementation of the project «Renovation of the Mykolaivoblenergo energy infrastructure with the transfer to the 20 kV voltage class.» Pre-project work was financed by a grant from the Government of Lithuania.
Andrii Kazan also emphasized that distribution networks of the region need to be rebuilt according to the principle of build back better, in accordance with European standards and best practices, which emphasizes the European integration course of the country.
