Zelenskyy: Ukraine cannot lose tens of thousands of people for the return of Crimea by force

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, photo: OPPresident Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine cannot lose tens of thousands of people in order to return Crimea, it can be returned through diplomatic means.
The head of state said this in an interview with Fox News.
According to him, Ukraine cannot legally recognize any occupied territory as Russian.
«We are talking about those territories that were occupied by Putin before the full-scale invasion since 2014. Legally, we do not recognize this. We do not accept this. On the other hand, we understand that we do not yet have the strength to push Putin back to the 1991 line with weapons in hand,» Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
He also noted that Ukraine is ready to return Crimea through diplomatic means.
«We cannot waste tens of thousands of our people to die for the sake of the return of Crimea. We understand that Crimea can be returned diplomatically,» the President emphasized.
We will remind you that Ukrainian defenders have a plan to return Crimea occupied by Russia and to destroy the illegal Kerch bridge, but the implementation of this plan turns out to be more difficult than expected.
According to the representative of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Andrii Yusov, currently Russian troops are using the temporarily occupied peninsula as an important military base and a strategic area for logistics.
