Ukraine has sent dozens of tonnes of oil and flour to Mozambique, Djibouti, Tanzania and Syria as part of a global food initiative.

This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

It is noted that within the framework of Grain from Ukraine, Syria has already received the first batch of our assistance — 500 tonnes of flour — with the support of the World Food Programme.

Ukraine has also sent sunflower oil to Mozambique as part of the initiative. Almost 416 tonnes will arrive in early February. Another 73.4 tonnes of oil and 970.5 tonnes of flour will arrive in Djibouti at the end of January. In addition, 453 tonnes of sunflower oil will soon be shipped to Tanzania.

As part of Grain from Ukraine, products of Ukrainian producers are purchased at the expense of international partners to overcome hunger in the world.

Earlier it was reported that the opening of the maritime border in the Black Sea allowed Ukraine to increase its exports by 35% in the first half of 2024.
