On Saturday, 25 January, relatives of Ukrainian sailors rescued from Yemeni captivity met them in Odesa. They were released due to the operation of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

This was reported by the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine.

As you know, the day before, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine conducted a joint operation to free three Ukrainian sailors who were on the Galaxy Leader vessel from Houthi captivity.

The meeting between the sailors and their families took place in the building of the regional military-civilian administration.

The special operation was implemented on the instructions of the President of Ukraine and thanks to the full support of the Royal Office of the Sultanate of Oman», said the representative of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine Olha Mosiondz.
