Government allocates ₴10 billion for regions to repair and build hospitals, schools, kindergartens and restore water supply

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has allocated an additional 5 billion hryvnias for 150 recovery projects and 5.2 billion hryvnias for a pilot project for the comprehensive recovery of five settlements.
This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal at a government meeting on Friday.
According to him, we are talking about 150 recovery projects in 12 regions under a joint programme with the European Investment Bank. Denys Shmyhal did not specify which regions he was talking about. However, he stressed that the projects include the repair and construction of hospitals, schools, kindergartens, water supply and energy efficiency.
In addition, the government is allocating UAH 5.2 billion for a pilot project for the comprehensive restoration of five settlements: Borodyanka in Kyiv region. Trostianets in Sumy region. Circus in the Kharkiv region. Posad-Pokrovske in the Kherson region and Yahidne in the Chernihiv region.
According to the Prime Minister, these funds will be used for the overhaul and construction of new housing in these communities, as well as the restoration and modernisation of heat, gas and water supply, and the reconstruction of transport and social infrastructure.
Earlier it was reported that in 2024, 96.6% of procurement for reconstruction in Ukraine took place without competition, with only one participant.
