In Mykolaiv, work has been completed on the restoration of a residential building at 8 Yevhenii Lohinov (Krylova) Street, which was damaged by a Russian missile strike.

This was announced during a staff meeting at the Mykolaiv City Council on Monday, 12 January, according to NikVesti.

Deputy Mayor Yurii Andrienko noted that as of 9 January, all planned repair work had been completed, and now all that remains at the site is to remove construction debris and tidy up the area.

Mayor Oleksandr Sienkevych said that he plans to visit the site next week to personally check the progress of the work.

We remind you that the building at 8 Krylova Street was damaged by rocket fire on 17 June 2022. One person was killed on the spot, and six others were injured.

A technical survey showed that the building could be restored through major repairs. In April 2023, the city council's housing and utilities department held a tender for major repairs to the building. However, it was not possible to find a contractor at first, so the procedure had to be re-announced in May.
