Mykolaiv plans ₴5.2 million repair of intra-block driveway in Inhulskyi District

In Mykolaiv, there are plans to repair an internal road in the Inhulskyi district at a cost of 5.2 million hryvnias. To do this, 100 trees will have to be felled.

This is evidenced by data from the ProZorro public procurement system, NikVesti reports.

The administration of the Inhulskyi district of the Mykolaiv City Council has announced a tender for the routine repair of the asphalt concrete surface of the internal road between the buildings at 9, 9a and 11 Myru Avenue and 42, 42a and 44 1 Liniia Street. The estimated cost of the works is 5,228,600 hryvnias.

According to the tender documentation, the contractor must remove the old asphalt and concrete surface, carry out cold milling, install new kerbs, prepare a base of sand and crushed stone mix, and lay a new layer of asphalt concrete.

The contractor is also required to prune 100 trees and remove the stumps.

In addition to repairing the carriageway, the project involves upgrading the pedestrian area. In particular, the plan includes laying paving slabs and installing new manhole covers.

As part of the area’s improvement works, 10 benches with backrests and 10 litter bins are also to be installed.

Proposals from participants are currently being accepted, and the winner will be selected after 15 May.

We would like to remind you that local residents contacted the editorial office of NikVesti with complaints that abandoned defence structures and an unfinished high-rise building in the area of Peremohy Square had become a shelter for the homeless. Residential buildings and two schools are located near this area.

Following this, Hanna Remennikova, head of the Inhulskyi District Administration in Mykolaiv, reported that attempts had already been made to evict the homeless people who had settled in the abandoned dugouts and the derelict high-rise, but they keep returning.

She added that the situation with the high-rise remains unresolved due to complex ownership issues. It is worth recalling that the fate of this high-rise building has already been the subject of discussion in the city council on numerous occasions. In particular, in 2023, councillor Yevhen Prudnyk proposed completing the building to provide housing for military personnel from the Mykolaiv garrison.
