Prosecutor General Andrii Kostin announced that the identity of the soldier who was beheaded by the occupiers in Donetsk region has been established, and the Russian commanders responsible for the war crime have also been identified.

He wrote about it on Facebook.

«Regarding the investigation of the brutal murder of the defender of Ukraine in Donetsk region, which became known yesterday. The identity of the deceased has been established. At the moment, we cannot name him, because the procedures for the final confirmation of his data are ongoing,» the message reads.

During aerial reconnaissance at one of the combat positions in the Donetsk region, the Ukrainian military discovered a damaged armored vehicle of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
