The Defense Forces said how many women are serving in the Armed Forces today

As of the beginning of 2024, 45 thousand 587 female servicewomen are serving in the Ukrainian army.

This was reported in the Defense Forces on March 8, noting that the number of women in the Armed Forces of Ukraine continues to increase.

For comparison, in 2014 this figure was more than 16.5 thousand, and in 2023 - more than 43.4 thousand.

Among women who are currently in the military, 13 thousand 487 have the status of a participant in hostilities. Also, more than 4,000 women defenders are currently in the area of hostilities.

In general, in 2024, the total number of women in the Armed Forces (not only military personnel) will reach 62,000. In 2014, this figure was 49,000.

We will remind, in the Mykolaiv region, women head 15 thousand 127 legal entities - this is 29.1% of the total number of registered enterprises and organizations.
