President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine already has confirmation of participation in the Peace Summit from more than 80 countries, and called on US President Joseph Biden and President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping to join it.

This is stated in the President's video address to world leaders on the eve of the Peace Summit.

The address was recorded against the background of the destruction of the printing house in Kharkiv as a result of the Russian attack.

«For them, it is a pleasure to burn. We all know who we are dealing with. Russia is ruled by people who want to make it a norm to burn lives, destroy cities and villages, divide nations and erase national borders with war,» Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

The head of state emphasized that there is no nation capable of stopping such a war only by its own efforts, therefore Ukraine needs the participation of world leaders.

«Does Russia want dialogue? Ukraine has the world's greatest experience of deception by Russia in negotiations. Deception, which, in particular, was Russia's cover for the preparation of this war. And that is why a global effort is needed — a peace summit with the participation of leaders who cannot be deceived by Russia,» he said.

Peace Summit

In the spring, Ukraine plans to hold the first inaugural Peace Summit in Switzerland. There will be discussed, in particular, the Peace Formula to end the war. Volodymyr Zelensky warned against other countries imposing «any formats of negotiations» with Russia on Ukraine.

Meanwhile, the head of the President's Office, Andriy Yermak, said that representatives of Russia may be invited to the second summit, which will not take place in Europe, where «they will be presented with this [peace] plan - in case the one who currently represents the aggressor country, will really want to end this war.»
