MDI fighters raided Tendra Spit: destroyed Russian equipment and fortifications

On August 6, special officers of the active operations unit «Artan» and the Maritime Center of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine conducted an operation in the northern part of the Black Sea.

As reported in the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense (MDI MD), during the night, an amphibious group of special forces landed on the Tendrivska spit and destroyed enemy armored vehicles, in particular MT-LB, the enemy's EW complex, and also destroyed the fortifications of the Russians.

«During the battle, the Russian invaders suffered losses among personnel — the exact number is being clarified. Having completed the assigned task, in particular the secret part of it, the military scouts left without loss,» the message reads.

The MDI adds that this is not the first successful active operation by special forces on the Russian-occupied Tendra Spit. Relevant actions are only part of the large-scale plan of the Security and Defense Forces of Ukraine, the implementation of which is ongoing.

It should be noted that Tendra Spit is a narrow island about 65 kilometers long and up to 1.8 kilometers wide. Spit is located in the northern part of the Black Sea, near the coast of the Kherson region.

We will remind, the spokeswoman of the Southern Defense Forces Nataliia Humeniuk reported that the situation on the Kinburn spit remains tense, it is still controlled by the Russian invaders. She called this direction «painful».
