In 2024, the level of trust of Ukrainian citizens in President Volodymyr Zelenskyy decreased by 15%. It is 63%, while in 2023 it will be 78%.

This is evidenced by the results of the third wave of the SHARP study. They were presented in Kyiv.

Compared to 2022, the level of trust in the president decreased by a total of 25%. According to researchers, despite this, Volodymyr Zelenskyy remains the most trusted central institution.

On the other hand, the trust of other central authorities according to the results of the survey is quite low.

«The lowest level of trust is observed in the courts and the Verkhovna Rada, which are trusted by only 23% and 28% of respondents, respectively,» the study says.

Compared to 2022, trust in all central government bodies has decreased. The Cabinet of Ministers lost the largest percentage of trust (from 60% to 31%) and the Verkhovna Rada (from 50% to 23%).

Instead, the institutions with the highest trust of citizens are the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the State Emergency Service, public organizations and the police.

«Trust in the army, the State Emergency Service and public organizations remains consistently high. More than 9 out of 10 respondents trust the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the State Emergency Service. Trust in the police, although stable, is moderate,» the study says.
