On Sunday, November 12, the Mykolaiv Regional Sports Tourism Federation organized a park orienteering competition in the Heart of the City square.
Daria Martynova, head of the federation, told about this in a comment to NikVesti.
According to her, this is the first attempt of such competitions since the beginning of the war. The organizers created a maze for the participants with various obstacles and special points where the players had to mark.
— They are simply limited to life, because we hope that we will live a normal life, regardless of any circumstances. Children should compete, children should grow up in a normal environment. That is why we hold such competitions, — said the head of the federation.
However, the game is not only for children. Among Mykolaiv residents registered for the competition are people from 6 to 75 years old.
— It is accessible to any category of people, it does not require special training, it is more like a sports game, but it gives skills to navigate the terrain, — said Daria Martynova.
In addition, the competition also had a charitable purpose. Everyone could donate to the collection for the military.
— Along the way, we have a muster for our military. Our mountain tourists have created boats that help the boys cross the Dnipro. And we are now collecting funds for these boats. And we also have a collection for the 53rd airmobile brigade, there are also our tourists who fight for a year and a half in the hottest spots and they need drones, — said Daria Martynova.
The organizers of the competition were the Mykolaiv Regional Federation of Tourism and the Mykolaiv Regional Center for National-Patriotic Education, Tourism and Local History of School Youth.

Also, the first athletics race on the occasion of the 86th anniversary of the Foundation Day of the Mykolaiv region — «MYKOLAIV REGION RUN FEST» was held in the center of Mykolaiv.
