The match will take place in Lyon in France at 20:00 Kyiv time, writes the Ukrainian Football Association.
«This will be Ukraine's debut match at the Olympics, so there is some excitement. But we need a victory, then it will be easier. Iraq is a physically strong team, they play vertical football, it will not be easy against them,» said national team player Illia Krupskyi.
It will be possible to watch the historic match of the Ukrainian national team at the Olympic Games live on local TV channels Suspilne, as well as on the TV channel and website Suspilne Sport.
As a reminder, Ukrposhta will issue a block of stamps dedicated to Ukrainian athletes who will represent our country this year at the Summer Olympic Games in Paris, France.
As you know, the 2024 Olympic Games will be held from July 26 to August 11. 140 athletes will represent Ukraine. This is the smallest number of Ukrainian athletes in the history of the country's participation in the Olympics. Before that, the smallest representation was at the Games in Tokyo in 2021 — 155 athletes.
