Ukraine's national gas production and supply company

Naftogaz of Ukraine is a national joint-stock company whose group produces, stores and distributes gas. In 2023 branches of Gas Distribution Networks of Ukraine, part of the Naftogaz group, received gas distribution licences in six more regions, replacing the regional gas companies of Dmytro Firtash. During the war Russia keeps striking the group's facilities: in one week of August 2026 they were attacked 13 times, and on 15 October 2026 a gas production site in Poltava Oblast was shut down after a strike. In March 2026 the Cabinet of Ministers appointed a new supervisory board. In January 2024 a cyberattack on Naftogaz took down its website and service centres in Mykolaiv.
