Viktor Volodymyrovych Medvedchuk (born August 7, 1954) is a Ukrainian politician, lawyer, and businessman. He is known for his pro-Russian views and close ties with Russian President Vladimir Putin. In 2022, he was detained by the Security Service of Ukraine on suspicion of treason. In September 2022, he was handed over to Russia as part of a prisoner exchange.
