Buses are vehicles designed for group passenger transportation. They are classified by purpose (urban, intercity, tourist, school), size (small, medium, large), and engine type (gasoline, diesel, electric, hybrid).

In Ukraine, buses are a vital part of transport infrastructure, especially in cities where they provide public transit. In rural areas, buses often remain the only available means of transportation.

Ukrainian manufacturers such as "Electron" and "Bogdan" produce buses, including electric buses. International brands are also active in the market. As part of transport modernization programs, Ukrainian cities are gradually transitioning to environmentally friendly models, including electric buses.

Challenges associated with buses include an aging fleet, insufficient funding for vehicle renewal, and high maintenance costs.
