Ukrainian energy company

DTEK is a Ukrainian energy company that owns thermal power plants, coal mines in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast and power grids, including DTEK Odesa Electric Networks. It is part of SCM, the group of businessman Rinat Akhmetov. In Mykolaiv Oblast DTEK is building the Tyligul wind farm: in December 2023 it agreed with the Danish turbine maker Vestas on the second stage of the plant.

During the war Russia keeps striking the company’s thermal power plants. In December 2025 DTEK reported the seventh attack since October, and in February 2026 it put the cost of restoring damaged energy facilities at €300 million. In September 2026 the US development finance corporation DFC approved a loan for DTEK’s energy storage systems.

MykVisti covers strikes on DTEK’s power facilities and mines, blackout schedules and the company’s new energy projects.
