Ukrainian documentaries about the war and Mykolaiv

A documentary film tells the story of real events and people. Mstyslav Chernov's 20 Days in Mariupol won an Oscar and a BAFTA in 2024, and his 2000 Meters to Andriivka won an Emmy for best directing in 2026. Films about the Mykolaiv region include ones on demining, on battles fought by Mykolaiv marines of the 36th Brigade in the Kursk direction, and a film about flooded Afanasiivka made for MykVisti.

MykVisti covers premieres and screenings of documentaries in Mykolaiv and awards won by Ukrainian documentary makers.
