The Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office investigates Russian war crimes, collaboration and treason cases in Kherson Oblast and challenges questionable public contracts in court. Since the start of the full-scale war, law enforcement has recorded more than 2,000 cases of people abducted or missing in the occupied parts of Kherson Oblast, and 75 criminal cases have been opened over Russian attacks on religious buildings.

Prosecutors are seeking through the courts to cancel a contract worth more than ₴1.1 billion for an overpass in Kherson and a ₴100 million contract for the reconstruction of a gymnasium. The court has already cancelled a ₴62 million contract to restore the Shovkunenko Art Museum.
