The director of Mykolaivoblteploenerho Mykola Lohvinov positively evaluated the work of the utility company in the issue of starting heat to the homes of Mykolaiv residents this year.
He said this during the consideration of the creation of subsidiaries for Oblteploenerho at the Commission on Housing and Communal Affairs on December 20, NikVesti reports.
«I do what I can do for this city. My company fulfilled all the tasks set before it last year and this year. And it performs, I'm sure, much better than many other thermal energy companies in Ukraine. What I am telling you about cogeneration and biofuels is experience taken from other cities, studied and calculated. I will show you this in numbers and prove that it is efficient and economically correct. You can see for yourself that despite the war and shelling, Oblteploenergo launched its system this year in three days — all of it completely. And it did it without impulses, without scandals, without heroic deeds. This is how a utility company should work. Oblteploenergo has no excavated sites. This is a CHP plant and a waterworks. Check all the gaps — down to the last one,» said Mykola Lohvinov.
As a reminder, the 2023-24 heating season in Mykolaiv began on November 14. Four days after that, it became known that the Mykolaiv CHP company connected only half of the total number of consumers in Mykolaiv to heat. Although in September, the CHPP reported that they were 92% ready for the start of the heating season.
As of the evening of November 20, dozens of apartment buildings remained without heating in Mykolaiv. In several districts of the city, repair works of heating networks continued.
Then the first deputy mayor of the city Vitalii Lukov announced that they plan to connect all residential buildings of Mykolaiv to heat in a few days. However, on the evening of November 21, there were still more than 400 apartment buildings in the city without heating.
Mykolayiv CHPP explained that delays in the supply of heat to multi-apartment buildings occurred due to large gusts on the main pipelines of the heating lines. And in Mykolayiv RMA , they criticized the preparation of the CHPP for the heating season in the city.
After that, the Mykolaiv CHPP promised to provide heat to the homes of all its subscribers on December 1. However, on November 30, they reported that due to emergency works in three more areas of the city, the residents of Mykolaiv will again be left without heating for some time. At the same time, the company added: according to forecasters, the weather conditions in Mykolaiv are expected to improve.
Numerous gusts of CHP networks are connected, in particular, with the fact that last heating season the enterprise used salty water from the estuary, which accelerates the corrosion of already outdated pipes. In contrast to this, purified water from wells was poured into KP Mykolaivvoblteploenerho, which NikVesti wrote in the article «Winter is near: What will the heating season be like in Mykolaiv?». Thus, the start of both heating seasons began without disruptions and significant accidents in the houses served by the regional heat and power utility.
Later, the Mykolaiv Central Heating Power Plant reported that during the 2023/2024 heating season, water from the estuary will be poured in only in emergency cases. Thus, the networks of the enterprise are filled with salt water by 8%, while last year the systems were filled with estuarine water by 91%.
