President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that he does not currently see a ready-made plan to resolve the war in the United States.

He said this at a press conference before the Munich Security Conference.

According to him, he told Donald Trump that he was ready to discuss possible options for ending the war at any time, including the issues of security guarantees and Ukraine's membership in NATO. Zelenskyy stressed that Ukraine wants to act in accordance with international law to prevent Russia's aggression from happening again.

«I don't see that the United States has a ready-made plan. I think this is very important. I told President Trump that I am ready at any time. And nothing is needed for that, I know everything. We are ready to have a real conversation at any time. We understand the geography of our country, we see where the biggest risks are. We are ready to talk about everything — from the contingent to security guarantees, to NATO... Either we are in NATO or NATO is in us. We are ready for any construction to stop Putin. We are open, but we want to act in accordance with international law, in accordance with the law and to prevent the return of horrors for the whole world,» Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed.

Peace talks

Earlier, Donald Trump said that the United States was engaged in constructive negotiations on a full-scale war with Ukraine and the Russian Federation. In particular, he expressed hope that agreements would be reached as soon as possible.

He also claimed that Washington had already made some progress in negotiations to end the war between Russia and Ukraine.

In addition, Donald Trump indicated that his administration had already held discussions with Moscow, but did not specify who participated in such a dialogue.

Earlier, Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed that negotiations between the United States and Russia to end the war without Kyiv's participation pose a threat to everyone.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy also noted that he was ready to sit down with Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin for the sake of peace, despite his hostile attitude.

However, Russian President Vladimir Putin has said he is ready to «allocate people» to negotiate with Ukraine to end the war. At the same time, he called any such talks «illegitimate».
