A rehabilitation center for war veterans and disabled people is planned to be built in Ochakiv, Mykolaiv region. The city council is currently looking for a donor to finance the work.

The relevant information is posted on the website of the state DREAM system, NikVesti writes.

The initiator of the project is the Ochakiv City Council. The construction cost is currently estimated at 190 million hryvnias, and the duration of the work is 4 years.

It is planned to create a rehabilitation center with further training in new specialties. The institution should work in partnership with a veterans' public organization, the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine, and local authorities.

«The country's post-war reconstruction will generate new challenges related to the need for new knowledge and qualifications of personnel. In addition, defenders (including veterans) will need social and professional adaptation to civilian life», the project description states.

Let us remind you that the budget of Mykolaiv plans to allocate one million hryvnias for the purchase of a building where a prosthetics center for the Ukrainian military will be equipped. This is a two-story building next to the city hospital №4, on the basis of which it is planned to open a prosthetics center. For this purpose, the German company Horus Prosthetics GmbH has already provided the city with equipment and technology for manufacturing prosthetics.
