«It is impossible without a technical inspection»: Mykolaiv DHCS responded to the residents of the building on Admiralsky, who are asking to install a temporary roof over the building

The Mykolaiv Housing and Housing Department responded to the request of the residents of the dilapidated building at 32 Admiralskiy Street to install a temporary roof over the three surviving entrances.

During the briefing, the deputy director of the department, Artem Sapozhnyk, replied that it would be impossible to do this without the results of the appropriate examination, writes «NikVesti».

It will be recalled that the residents of the building, which was hit by a missile, have been asking the authorities for the second month to install a temporary roof for the period of cold weather in order to prevent the complete destruction of the building.

Artem Sapozhnyk explained that at the moment permission to carry out work can be accepted only after a technical examination by specialists. As of October, Department of Housing and Communal Servicest has not yet received the document.

— There are four entrances, the fourth entrance is destroyed, it is not there. That is, there are significant violations of the structural elements of the house. Residents expressed a desire to independently order a technical inspection. The essence of this examination is that the specialist must determine what needs to be done for recovery and whether it makes sense. As of today, without a technical inspection, unfortunately, we are unable to determine how to repair the roof over the three entrances that are there. Because the house has significant structural damage. And now to do something, to allocate budget funds for it, and then it turns out that it will not give any result — it will be wrong from a technical point of view, — said Artem Sapozhnyk.

Regarding the possible option of covering the roof with a film or tarpaulin during the onset of frost, the DHCS replied that this would not be a way out of the situation, because residents are asking for a full-fledged repair.

— Tarpaulin and film are not a solution to the problem. This is not what the residents are asking for. If you look at the description that the residents say, you will see that they are asking for repair work, and it is not a film or a tarpaulin — it is the first thing. Secondly, in order to attach the tarpaulin and the film, we need a structural system where we will attach, — added Ihor Nabatov.

As you know, on the night of July 20, Russian troops launched a missile attack on Mykolaiv. As a result of the impact, a three-story residential building was destroyed.

The next day, representatives of the city authorities announced plans to demolish the building completely.

In September, residents independently ordered a technical inspection of the building. In this way, they will find out whether the house is suitable for living.

During the attack, an elderly couple died in the house. First, a man's body was taken out from under the rubble. A little later, the woman's body was pulled out.

Due to the impact, the building of the regional center of folk art, which housed the house of pioneers in Soviet times, where the poet-songwriter Mark Lysyansky began his creative career, was also destroyed.
