The energy infrastructure of the Mykolaiv region is planned to be modernized in accordance with the standards of the European Union.
This is necessary in order for the region to already receive help from European countries — energy equipment, acting director of Mykolayivoblenerho Vadym Danylkiv told NikVesti in an interview.
He also informed that it is about the transition of the enterprise to the European voltage class 20/04.
— What it means? That we use different types of equipment. That is, the Ukrainian transformer is not the same as the European one. Typical for us transformers helped to replace Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia, partly Bulgaria. One of the decisions to switch to another voltage class was the possibility of receiving help from other European countries. In fact, we have already received 200 transformers from the European Union, many of which are used. But this would not be possible if we did not plan to switch to the voltage class used in Europe. It helps to reduce technological losses of electricity. In addition, we do not waste our consumers' money, nor our own — European countries are helping us with the recovery. We are very actively communicating with various countries and looking for help for specific objects, — explained Vadym Danylkiv.
Currently, a project for the restoration and development of power grids in the Mykolaiv region has already been developed, he added: «The project was financed by the Lithuanian government for 240,000 euros. These are only project works. We want to create work projects with which we can directly appeal to donors to restore the networks».
— We were actually helped by the European Energy Support Fund. In the near future, large transformers that have been manufactured for more than 6-8 months will arrive. This is a project to transition networks that were destroyed near Mykolaiv to a different voltage class — similar to the one that exists in most European countries. That is, the European voltage class — 20/04, — added Vadym Danylkiv.
We remind you that in Ukraine there is currently enough electricity produced by power plants in the country to meet the needs of citizens. Rumors in social networks about the alleged use of blackout schedules are false.
At the same time, Mykolayivoblenerho updated the schedules of possible power outages in the region this winter and added three sub-queues to each of the three main queues.
Also, the acting director of Mykolayivoblenerho, Vadym Danylkiv, said that the company had prepared for possible Russian attacks, so the residents of the region should not expect a total blackout. However, the situation may be somewhat more difficult in Ochakiv and Kutsurub community.
According to preliminary data, restoration of electric networks of the Mykolaiv region damaged by shelling will cost 12 billion hryvnias.
